Here’s the thing. I love basketball. I use to attend Xavier University. I love Xavier basketball. I also love to peruse the sports blogosphere because for some reason I care about sports (esp. basketball) probably a little too much. So I may as well let my feelings be known throughout the world. Even if on an obscure team specific college sports blog. And let us not forget, Xavier has no football team, so all my chips are all in with a school that most people probably still consider a “mid-major.”
Even though that moniker should die a fast yet painful death I don’t care what other people think. This is my team and I will defend them to no end. They have a chance to do something special this year I want to chronicle it in my own way. This here internet allows me, and anyone else for that matter, a chance to do so.
Wednesday’s game against Temple notwithstanding, this has been a great season. However, this team cannot afford to take games off and I hope they are not looking ahead to Dayton on Thursday. And even though GW is down this year, they still have enough talent to beat Xavier. In fact, I could’ve written that statement on Tuesday night concerning Temple.
